Serving My Enemy Alpha: Ella and Alpha's Full Story, Characters & Ending

Langston says Hayden is a danger to both packs, and that killing him is the only path to peace. He offers Ella freedom and a place in Green Leaf, and she agrees. To learn Hayden's weak spots, she follows him, all the way to a grave where he leaves fresh flowers for his mate, Tiara.

Langston gives Ella a vial of poison. She sneaks into Hayden's room at night, but he is caught in a nightmare and pulls her into his arms, murmuring Tiara's name and then hers. Langston tells her Hayden killed his own mate. Rose, who remembers how much Hayden loved Tiara, does not believe it.

Ella asks Rose to make Tiara's favorite rabbit stew, planning to poison it, but Rose shoos her out of the kitchen. Hayden smells the stew and invites Ella to dinner. He calls her Ella instead of rogue and asks about her life. He even asks if she would ever join the pack.

Langston loses patience and hands her a dagger instead. Hayden gives Ella a day off, and they spend it in the forest, running in wolf form and cooking rabbits over a fire. He tells her she will have her freedom. They kiss, and when her hand finds the dagger, she lets it go. That night Hayden admits he felt a bond with her from the day they met, and that he believes Tiara was poisoned.

Ella tells Langston she is out. Beth overhears Langston admit he came to kill Hayden and seize Iron Claw. Ella runs to warn Hayden, but Beth has told him first, and the guards find the dagger and the poison under Ella's bed. Hayden recognizes the poison that he thinks killed Tiara. Ella is thrown in the dungeon with Langston and Gordon, where she tells Hayden she loves him. He does not believe her.

Ella still has the house keys. She slips out of the cell, but instead of running for the forest, she goes to Hayden's room to tell him the truth. Langston escapes through the door she left unlocked and follows her with the dagger. He admits he poisoned Tiara years ago with the same poison he gave Ella.

The two Alphas fight. When Langston lunges at a dazed Hayden, Ella throws herself in front of him and takes the blade. Hayden kills Langston, and Beth helps carry Ella to the medical ward. When she wakes, Hayden says he loves her, fires her as his maid and asks her to be his mate and luna. She says yes.

Five weeks later, Ella is crowned luna in the forest. Gordon now leads Green Leaf, the two packs are at peace, and Beth is happily in his arms. Rose serves rabbit stew, and the whole pack raises a toast to Ella.
