Betrayed At The Altar full story
Lily refuses to believe Victoria cheated. Together they lean on the hotel concierge, Harold Stimson, until he reveals whose credit card paid for the room: Ethan's. To track him down, Victoria turns to Mark Hall. Two years ago, Jake walked in on Olivia kissing Mark while she pumped him for inside information, and Olivia screamed that Mark had attacked her. He was fired and has been living with his parents ever since.
Victoria and Lily corner Ethan at a bar, and he admits that Olivia made him stage the photos. He warns Victoria that Olivia is always two steps ahead of her. He is right. Olivia is watching from a dark corner with her camera.
When Victoria storms into Olivia's office to confront her, Jake walks in and agrees to hear Victoria out. Before she can explain, Olivia pulls her into the restroom and shows her new photos from the bar, where Ethan whispering in her ear looks like a kiss. Olivia brags that she hired Ethan and only wants Jake's money, then orders Victoria to say goodbye for good. Victoria tells Jake it's over.
Three months later Jake and Olivia are the city's power couple, and Olivia announces she is pregnant. Victoria has given up. Then Mark knocks on her door. He has spent those months building a case: medical records proving the pregnancy is fake, and photos copied from Olivia's own camera proving she took the pictures herself.
How does Betrayed At The Altar end?
At a charity ball hosted by Jake's company, Olivia plays her last card. She hands Jake the photos and calls Ethan over to wrap his arm around Victoria, as if the affair never ended. But Ethan has switched sides. He came at Victoria's request, not Olivia's.
Mark shows Jake the proof of the fake pregnancy and the photos. Ethan tells Jake that nothing ever happened. Olivia insists Jake will never believe them. Victoria agrees he won't believe them, but he will believe Olivia. Mark knew the company's offices were wired with microphones, and Victoria plays Olivia's restroom confession for everyone to hear. Olivia goes white and runs from the ballroom.
Victoria apologizes for taking so long to clear her name. Jake reminds her that he promised to always trust her, and he still does. As long as this is the end of the affair, he tells her, she is already forgiven. They kiss as Lily, Mark, Ethan and the whole ballroom cheer.
