Dear Husband, I Upgraded to a CEO: Mari and Blake's Full Story, Characters & Ending

At first Mari still hopes Christopher will listen. Then she sees Lacey kissing him in the lobby, and Lacey laughs that they have been together for months. Christopher admits he hired an actor to trigger the prenup. Mari takes the job as head of sales and agrees to help Blake beat his brother.

Blake moves her into an empty apartment in a building he owns, just down the hall from his own. Bradley calls her a cheater to her face and orders Blake to fire her. When Christopher shoves Mari so she breaks their father's prized mug, Blake proves Christopher had already broken it and replaced it with a cheap copy.

The pair search Christopher's office and end up squeezed into a supply closet together. Christopher steals Blake's restaurant reservation to grab a client dinner, then insults the client so badly that the owner throws him out. Mari pitches the client herself, and soon after she and Blake share their first kiss.

A tabloid asks whether Blake stole his brother's wife, and Bradley fires Mari. Christopher brings security footage of Blake kissing her in the parking garage to a board meeting. Blake tells the board he kissed her, not the other way around, and that he wants to be with her. The board votes her back in, as long as they wait until the divorce is final.

Waiting is hard. Bradley catches them standing too close and threatens both their careers. Lacey copies Mari's work, and Christopher presents her biggest deal as his own, but Mari proves it was hers in front of the board. That night Christopher attacks her in the parking garage, and Blake pulls him off.

Christopher soon dumps Lacey too. She comes to Mari in tears and offers to help, and Mari secretly records Christopher admitting he set up the cheating video.

At the company charity gala, Blake brings the stranger from the bedroom onstage. The actor confesses that Christopher paid him to frame Mari, and Blake shows the contract and the recording. Bradley says Christopher has lost his inheritance and has him removed, and Mari slaps the husband who took five years of her life.

Christopher signs over her money, the house and the car and agrees to the divorce. Lacey apologizes and leaves the company, and Mari forgives her. Bradley apologizes to Mari and names Blake CEO. Blake accepts on one condition, that his father welcome Mari into the family, then gets down on one knee and proposes. She says yes, and Bradley welcomes her back to the Jameson family.
