How To Fake True Love (in 2 weeks): Fiona and Zachary's Full Story, Characters & Ending

Fiona and Zachary seal the deal with a very public kiss in front of Logan, and the night does not end there. The next morning she goes to Perfect Company to hire him officially, CEO to CEO, and finds him sitting in the boss's chair. He and Ryan claim he is testing chairs for the real CEO's birthday. She buys it, and they sign a contract for separate rooms.

The family tests them at every turn. Logan hints that Fiona bought herself a boyfriend. Moira grills them one at a time about how they met. At a wedding game, Fiona cannot name Zachary's middle name, until he turns the question on Logan, who gets Fiona's wrong after three years together. Zachary hands Moira his driver's license, and Fiona answers right.

Logan keeps pushing. He kisses Fiona in the hotel lobby just as Amelia walks in, then blames Fiona. Moira gives her a new deadline: an engagement ring or a resignation letter by the rehearsal dinner. Meanwhile Zachary keeps slipping away to the office, where he is closing a merger with Ferens Industries, Hartwell's biggest rival.

Behind the scenes, Logan is no heartbroken groom. He has spent years trying to marry into the Hartwell family to get the company, and his real lover is Vanessa. Vanessa records Fiona and Zachary rehearsing a fake fight, then figures out where Zachary came from and blackmails Fiona for $100,000.

Fiona and Zachary go on a real date, with no audience. That night he tells her it has never been fake for him, and they agree to try for real once the wedding is over. At the rehearsal brunch, Zachary gets down on one knee and Fiona says yes.

Logan stands up and calls the engagement a sham. He tells everyone about Perfect Company and the bribe, and Moira strips Fiona of the CEO job. Then Logan drops the bigger bomb: Zachary is the agency's CEO and has just merged with Hartwell's competitor. Zachary admits it. Fiona throws the ring at Zachary, and Amelia uninvites her from the wedding.

The next morning, Moira storms in with a newspaper. Zachary has launched a hostile takeover of Hartwell Industries. But Amelia arrives with news of her own. She followed Logan the night before and caught him with Vanessa, plotting to marry her, take the company and then dump her. The three Hartwell women decide to take him down together.

At the altar, Amelia says "I don't." A screen behind her plays the video of Logan and Vanessa planning to dump her once the papers are signed. Amelia slaps Logan, Moira fires Vanessa on the spot, and Fiona says they will press charges.

Logan tries one last trick and points at Zachary as the real villain. Zachary walks in and explains. He knew Moira planned to push Fiona out, so he went to the board, which backed Fiona, and bought the company on one condition: that Fiona stays CEO. He hands her the signed papers. The company is still hers.

Zachary tells Fiona he loves her, and she says it back. Amelia, who now sees Logan for what he is, suggests they get married right there with her wedding setup. Zachary proposes again with the ring Fiona threw at him, and she says yes.

Amelia helps her sister into her dress and apologizes for years of being awful. Moira tells Fiona she is proud of her and trusts her to lead the company. Flanked by her mother and sister, Fiona walks down the aisle, and she and Zachary are married.
