Keep Your Ring, I'm President Now: Sasha and Conner's Full Story, Characters & Ending

When the President rewards Conner with a fortune for saving Sasha, he spends it on Tandy's dream beach house. She barely glances at the deed before tossing it in the trash and telling him to be more like Stewart. The President keeps calling with a new mission. Conner promised Tandy he would never deploy again, but one night, watching her and Stewart with their hands all over each other, he says yes.

Then Tom collapses with a heart attack. Stewart fakes a broken arm, and Tandy can't decide who to help. Conner rushes Tom to the hospital and gives his own blood to save him. A few days later, at a White House state dinner where Stewart is chasing defense contracts, Stewart tries to have the Secret Service throw Conner out, only to learn that Conner is the President's guest of honor.

Conner ships out, and Sasha keeps finding reasons to visit the training grounds. Tandy reaches him by phone while he is defusing a bomb in a room full of hostages, and he finally tells her he is never coming back. He survives, becomes the President's advisor, signs Tandy's house over to her as a parting gift and moves into the beach mansion with Sasha.

When Conner and Sasha take over the VIP section of a restaurant, Stewart proposes to Tandy at a tiny table by the bathrooms. She says yes only to make Conner jealous. Conner proposes to Sasha. Tom, now in the hospital with little time left, is thrilled and agrees to be Conner's best man, then refuses Stewart his blessing. Alone with the old man, Stewart smothers him with a pillow, never noticing the tape recorder Tom left running to record his last wishes.

At the funeral, Stewart claims Tom wanted him to marry Tandy, and she agrees out of spite. Their wedding gets moved out into the rain because the church's new owners, Conner and Sasha, are getting married inside that same day. Life with Stewart turns cold and cruel. Conner becomes Vice President, then President when Maverick steps down for his health.

Then Tom's estate lawyer hands Tandy the tape, and she hears her father being murdered. She runs to Conner's beach house and begs on her knees for him to take her back. He tells her he is grateful she set him free and closes the door. At home, Stewart is waiting with the recorder, a gun and a plan to get into the President's peace summit.

Stewart talks his way into the White House summit between two nations on the brink of war by telling the Secret Service that Tandy is carrying the President's baby. He heckles Conner in front of the world leaders, then holds a gun to Tandy's head and demands his contracts back. Conner tells his agents to stand down and walks toward the barrel. When Tandy screams that Stewart killed her father, Conner lunges. The bullet grazes his arm, and he beats Stewart unconscious.

Tandy clings to him, sure this proves he still loves her. Conner calls it his civic duty and pulls away. Still covered in blood, he returns to the podium, drops his notes and tells both leaders that anyone who threatens the peace will have to go through him.

Six months later Conner accepts the Nobel Peace Prize and gives the credit to his wife, Sasha, the mind behind the treaty. Tandy watches from her father's old bed, telling Tom that Conner will come back to her once his work is done. But Tom isn't there. She is talking to an empty room.
