My Lumberjack Lover is a Billionaire: Carmen and Reid's Full Story, Characters & Ending

Carmen and Reid clash from the first minute. He throws her out, Aunt Jenny rents her a goat shed and then a tent, and Carmen ends up lost in the woods at night, with wolves howling, until Bear and Reid find her. Reid agrees to let her stay until the roads dry out and he fixes her car.

On the walk back, Carmen spots a stunning clearing with forest and water. It is perfect for her client, and it belongs to Reid. She sends photos to the office without telling him. Reid warns her never to open a room he keeps blocked with a closet. He tells her he and his late wife built the cabin together, and he comes here so he won't lose her memory.

Slowly the two warm up: yoga with bugs, a prank with a mushroom, stars over a campfire. When Mike shows up and nearly hits Carmen, Reid stops him, and Carmen finishes the job. A family dinner at Aunt Jenny's ends with a real kiss, and Carmen and Reid spend the night together.

Then Martha, who overheard Carmen's call, tells Reid why Carmen really came. Reid finds the contract and the maps on her phone. In the fight, Carmen opens the hidden room: a baby's nursery. Reid's wife was pregnant when she died saving a child from a car. He orders Carmen to leave.

Back in the city, Carmen fires Mike and Debby and kills the deal in front of the investor. She tells Mike she can live without money but maybe not without Reid. Mike goes to the cabin anyway with a contract and an eviction notice. When Reid refuses, Mike has the cabin burned while Reid is forced to watch. Then Reid is driven away in a black car, and no one knows where he is.

Reid turns up at Carmen's door in the city, calm and changed, and takes her to an expensive dinner. He says watching the cabin burn broke a spell, and he won't let the past stop him from living anymore. He leaves her a gift box she is too scared to open.

The next day Carmen storms a TerraVista meeting to stop Mike from buying Reid's land, and finds Reid signing it away. Then he reveals the truth. He is Reid Hartwell, CEO of the BlueStone Group, and he has just bought up the company's shares, which makes him Mike's new boss. Police arrest Mike for bribery and fraud, and Carmen makes sure Debby goes with him. The gift turns out to be TerraVista itself, signed over to Carmen. Reid says goodbye.

Back in the woods with Aunt Jenny, Reid hears construction in the clearing and runs over, furious. The boss in the hard hat is Carmen. She is building a home there because it is where she was happy. She asks him to stay and help with the roof, and offers him the spare room. He says he doesn't mind sharing, and they kiss.
