Tamed by My Dad's Best Friend: Nelia and Silas's Full Story, Characters & Ending

Silas sets the rules: Nelia does not leave the house without him. She does everything she can to break them, and him. Sheridan, his old colleague, helps install cameras and makes it clear she does not like Nelia. When Nelia's ex Nick corners her at a café, Silas pulls her out of there.

Every time Silas gets close, he stops himself. A family photo on the wall, a memory of a past job, the thought of Richard. He tells Nelia that he and Sheridan were friends with benefits after a job went wrong. After a fight in the park ends in a kiss, Silas teaches Nelia self-defense. Then the stalker calls, describing exactly what she is wearing, and Silas stops holding back.

Richard comes home and nearly catches them, then sneers that the stalker is all in Nelia's head. Hurt, she sends Silas away. He comes back anyway. This time he stops fighting it, and he tells her his secret: years ago he fell for a client, made the wrong call when she was taken hostage, and she died.

Sheridan sets up a surprise double date with Grayson, who is still calling himself Nelia's boyfriend. A text arrives with a photo of their table, and Sheridan pushes Silas to let Grayson drive Nelia home. Outside, a masked man drags her into an alley. Silas fights him off and pulls off the mask. It is Nick.

With Nick arrested, they think it is over. Silas tells Sheridan his feelings for Nelia are real. The next morning, a new text arrives with a photo of the two of them in bed, taken the night before. Nick is still in jail. The stalker is someone else.

Silas whisks Nelia away for a romantic dinner at his house, and they admit they are falling for each other. Back home, Richard finds Nelia in a towel inviting Silas into the shower. He throws Silas out, calls his daughter a mistake and ends a lifelong friendship. Silas tells Nelia he will not tear apart another family and drives away.

That night Grayson shows up, saying he is in therapy and wants to make things right. Over tea, he calls Silas her "loser boomer bodyguard," echoing the stalker's text. Nelia realizes Grayson has been the stalker all along. She runs and hides, but he finds her in her closet.

Silas bursts in and pulls Grayson off her. Grayson pulls a knife and stabs Silas. Nelia stands up to him, and when he lunges at her, she shoves him with all her strength and he falls down the stairs as the police arrive.

In the hospital, Sheridan tells Nelia that Silas had traced the messages and was coming to warn her, and that his feelings are real. She steps aside. Nelia finally tells her father everything he got wrong. Richard apologizes and admits he will have to accept them. Silas wakes up, and Richard thanks him for saving his daughter.

Later, Nelia comes home from her exam sure she aced it, and Silas has a new job lined up. Still healing, he scoops her up anyway. When she asks if he still thinks she is a brat, he grins: "Yes. But you're my brat now."
