Breaking My Boss' Purity Bet: Emma and Jake's Full Story, Characters & Ending

Emma keeps flirting, and Jake keeps fleeing: from his office, from a stuck elevator, from her doorstep after a party. She decides he just isn't interested. Then Cassidy goes on TV claiming Jake fathered her baby, and Emma proves within days that there is no pregnancy at all.

Emma starts getting messages that say she is being watched. When paparazzi trap Jake at her condo, he sleeps on her couch and turns down every invitation to leave it. Soon a rose signed "H" lands on her desk, and Harrison shows up outside her building and threatens Jake. Inside, her home is wrecked, with "MINE" painted on the fridge.

Jake takes her on a work trip to San Francisco, where the hotel has only one room left. He chases off a flirty waiter by pretending it is their anniversary, then asks her to move in with him for her safety. Cassidy photographs them arriving, and Clyde drags the photos to the board.

Clyde and Cassidy keep pushing. An escort turns up in Jake's office and kisses him just as Emma walks in. Then a tabloid prints Emma's past with Harrison, and she is sure Jake leaked it. Jake finally kisses her, stops himself, and tells her about the bet. She walks out.

That night Harrison grabs Emma in the hospital parking lot and holds her captive in a rental house. Jake, who put a tracker on her work phone, arrives just as Harrison pulls a gun, and Emma frees herself and brings him down before the police take him away. Safe at last, Jake tells her he is falling in love with her, and the bet stops mattering to either of them.

Back at work, Emma finds money moving from Clyde's department into fake accounts. But Cassidy has been snapping photos of them kissing in Jake's office, and she is secretly with Clyde.

Clyde calls an emergency board meeting to expose the romance. Jake answers with Clyde's offshore accounts, the company's finance chief backs him up, and the board votes Clyde out. Cassidy reminds everyone that Jake broke the bet. Emma offers to resign. Jake says he loves her and steps down as CEO instead, and Emma says she loves him too.

Emma tells Cassidy she is suing her, and security walks Cassidy out. Then the board refuses both resignations: a CEO in a committed relationship is good news before the company goes public, and Emma caught the fraud. They make her Assistant CEO. Jake's lawyers win back the sisters' inheritance from Harrison, so Gwen's bills are covered. In the hospital parking lot, Jake offers one last bet: that he is the better kisser. Emma accepts.
