The Quarterback's Secret Princess: Lex and Wes's Full Story, Characters & Ending

Back at school, Madison knocks Lex's lunch tray all over her, and Norah steps in as her first friend. Wes keeps finding her, returns the shoe she lost at the dance and teases her by calling her "princess", which nearly gives Lex a heart attack. She sneaks out to Madison's party and Wes kisses her there, until Evan arrives and she claims he is her uncle.

A royal messenger hands Lex a letter in front of Wes, and she covers by calling it a princess role-play game. The letter is from Adrian, who wants to see her. Queen Marina flies in, and Adrian plans to announce their engagement at once. Lex stops him from proposing and asks for more time, then runs off to meet Wes at a diner in her royal gown.

Wes's father catches him texting and orders a background check on Lex. Lex spots bruises on Wes's arm, and he blames practice. Then Mr. Becker gets Lex and Norah thrown out of the bleachers, and Adrian transfers to Sea Breeze right as Wes asks Lex to Homecoming. She says yes.

Madison forces her way into a dinner at the Beckers' house and becomes Mr. Becker's ally. She tracks down Adrian and learns he is Lex's fiancé. At her pool party, a positive pregnancy test is planted in Lex's bag, and Madison presents Adrian to everyone as Lex's fiancé. Lex admits she lied about Adrian but can't say why, and a hurt Wes walks away.

Mr. Becker tells Lex he was behind the test and orders Wes back to Madison. Adrian, seeing how much Lex cares, realizes he cannot marry a woman who loves someone else. When Madison accuses Lex of stalking Wes and the principal threatens suspension, royal security walks in, and Lex reveals who she is. Madison confesses that she made the stalking story up.

On Homecoming day, Wes finally shoves his father away for insulting Lex, and Evan quietly offers to help him get out of that house. Wes wins the game. Then Queen Marina arrives to take Lex home.

Lex refuses an arranged marriage, and Adrian tells the queen he won't marry her either. Lex walks onto the field and tells the whole stadium she is Princess Alexia of Rosenhaven. Then she plays a voice note in which Madison brags about planting the test and names Mr. Becker as the one behind it.

Lex apologizes to Wes and asks if they still have a chance. He tells her she is the best thing in his life, on one condition: no more secrets. They kiss in front of everyone. Wes tells his father he is moving out, and for once Mr. Becker has nothing to say.

Queen Marina is furious until Lex tells her she wants to be loved, not managed. The queen gives in. Lex can finish the year at Sea Breeze, she doesn't have to marry Adrian, and she will introduce Wes to the Council, with extra bodyguards. Wes jokes about sneaking around, and Lex answers that there will be no more sneaking and no more secrets.
